Saturday is Blessed Virgin Mary day . . .

"We ought to love the Blessed Virgin very much. If you invoke the Blessed Virgin when you are tempted, she will come at once to your help, and Satan will leave you. The Blessed Virgin is like a good mother who, not content with looking after all her children in general, watches over each one separately." ~ St. John Vianney Cure of Ars

You raise a great point that I think some people forget, or never understood. Satan fears Mary and leaves her and hers alone. Some people misunderstand the woman of the Apocalypse with the dragon chasing her as indicating that Satan pursues Mary. He does not. That vision is much more about the birth of Jesus, the slaughter of innocents by Herod, and then the future slaughter of innocents, ie abortion, which is part of what brings on the Apocalypse. So Satan himself does not pursue Mary and does not have any hold on those who hold Mary between themselves and Satan. People who are evil toward the thought of Mary are those who have been corrupted by Satan, but Satan himself does not stalk or harm Mary or hers.

Amen MMF! And as our beloved St Padre Pio said re: the rosary-
"The rosary is the WEAPON."

The weapon that puts Satan not only under Mary our Mother's feet, but also under ours! We need to remember that! To "fly to our Mother" is to grab that blessed rosary and pray to her and thus to our Lord THROUGH Mary... TO JESUS THROUGH MARY and guess who loses? Satan and his minions. They're rendered as helpless as a slug when salted.

Thanks for visiting MMF and for your many comments. You've made my morning brighter.

PAX,
susie
