Communion Kneeling and on the Tongue is Preferred Form - Cardinal Arinze...

It's so sad to see Catholic Churches withOUT kneelers!!! I've seen a few of them, and also, I was made aware 2 years ago, of a family who all knelt to receive Holy Communion. Well, they were mocked by some parishoners and, sadly, the priest had even said some uncharitable things about how they received, which shocked me so that I was dumbfounded. My sin, looking back, was that I didn't speak up, since I was a visitor and not part of the parish and friends with the priest, but I SHOULD have defended a 'traditional orthodox' family's preference! Lord forgive me for being too timid to say anything when it was 'fear of man' and an argument that kept me from it. I hope to one day write this priest and explain how it's still bothered me that that family was made fun of for being "true" to themselves before God! It recently came back to my mind talking with my husband this morning. I need to confess this and write him and pray for him and that family and the parish. That was "unChrist-like" of all of us. Them for making fun of a good, faithful family and me for NOT speaking a word! Pray for me and for Fr. G. Thank you.

If only...

Jesus would have had this handy dandy software (How To Incorporate Your Church or Ministry) -(and also a computer or an iPad) He could have built a Church that wouldn't have 'gone off the rails' and become "corrupted" by men who wear dresses and their crazy, oppressive traditions. DARN it all!!

Anyone? Ferris? .... Anyone?

If the Catholic Church is not correct and all other 'churches' broke away from the Catholic Church, which church is correct? There can only be ONE, b/c Jesus only built ONE CHURCH. Soooooo.... anyone?

"It is finished!" ...

Oh my! At His Feet I have to fall! We have to be at His Feet before we can be raised in glory. We have to be crucified before we rise in splendor. But oh, how many of us fail to take up our crosses! How many really truly need to see this and fall at Those Holy Blessed Feet, battered, bloodied by our sins! They were once little "toddler toes" Mary kissed each night. They are Feet shod with the Gospel of Peace, they are the Feet of PEACE HIMSELF, and are bloodied for me, for us all! Dear Lord, please forgive me for every offense and sin against Your Sacred Heart. That spike that pierced Feet so Tender is from my most egregious, horrible sins, to my little "secret ones" I hide and am still attached to, otherwise known as "venial" that still burden and slow my daily walk with You. But yet how mercifully You still use those very sins, mistakes, frailties in Your plan for my life, the tapestry of my journey, to keep me humble and seeking Your Feet, to kiss Your Feet as did Mary when she broke open the jar of perfume, pouring it all with love and reckless abandon, every drop falling on Your Feet. This was a sign of her own broken-ness. She poured herself, her all, in that endearing and prodigal act...all her wickedness, wretchedness, and goodness covered Your Feet, to be later bruised, broken and cold, offering Forgiveness, and Mercy from the Heart of Our Father. We are not and cannot be "Resurrection people" until we are FIRST and TRULY- GOOD FRIDAY people!

Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy.
