Peggy Noonan's bought the lie....

She writes in her column: "Palin's Failin'"

'In the end the Palin candidacy is a symptom and expression of a new vulgarization in American politics. It's no good, not for conservatism and not for the country. And yes, it is a
mark against John McCain, against his judgment and idealism'

Gee, I think Peggy Noonan's gone crackers! She has had a resurgence of faith, she wrote the best-selling book, John Paul II the Great, which was a tender and moving book, full of her brilliant writing. I wonder what JPII the Great would have to say to Peggy Noonan about her loss of brilliance in voting for Obama?!!!! I am so deeply disturbed by this and her decision to vote for a Marxist for president. How does one reconcile a man who thinks it's fine to kill babies with JPII the Great's call for us to be a CULTURE OF LIFE?!?!?!?!?!? Peggy, you've been duped big time, and your in "grave error" if you vote for this lying socialist snob.

I read the article quickly and I didn't notice her saying that she will vote for Barak Obama. She just doesn't think Sarah Palin is a great candidate.

I think she doesn't take into consideration that Sarah Palin has only been on the national scene for 7 weeks and will grow. She is a little more qualified than Barak Obama to begin with and it took him 2 years of running for President to stop stammering like a school boy. If she had been doing this for two years - she would be quite a candidate.

The day before McCain picked his running mate - I actually was mulling it over who he should pick and couldn't come up with anyone who would really work. I thought of Sarah Palin went to my computer and looked up her experience. I concluded that he wouldn't ask her because she needed a bit more experience and told my daughter that if it were four years from now - the logical choice would be Sarah Palin. I was absolutely thrilled when John McCain picked her but realized that there would be risks because she was new on the scene.

My intellectual daughter who is voting for McCain (was happy he picked a woman) - but hasn't been sure Sarah Palin is quite smart enough. She said to me the other day that one thing she admired about Sarah Palin was that she was a very strong woman. She said that she had thought Hillary was strong but Sarah beat her on all counts because has never whined or complained about her treatment. She has also gone out there under incredible pressure and not broken. I don't think Peggy Noonan takes that into account.

She said in affect that Peggy Noonan was no Harry Truman. Truman was a lot older than her when he was thrust into the Presidency so the comparison is a false one. I read Truman's life and at 35 he was a real failure. He had had to quit college to support his family, he was in a dead end job and even the woman he loved wouldn't marry him. The war came and it was in the army that it was discovered that he was a good leader.Circumstances bring out the best in people and I think Sarah will grow and be just fine because her values are great.
