Artists have their saint...

After commenting on TJ's blog about St. Luke, and patron saints, I began to wonder "who is the patron for artists?" I'm no pro when it comes to drawing, but I dabble now and then. So, I found with a few clicks, this nice post and who the patron saint is,St. Catherine of Bologna. Click
It's not for me to "judge" the site where I found the post on St. Catherine, but it's very "curious" and though maybe not the best place to go, it's where I ended up. Some interesting things, and some things probably not worth a peek. In other words, I'm not "promoting" this website, but I do like the art and some of the stories/posts.

Another one you can consider is Fra Angelico, Dominican friar and Early Renaissance painter, beatified by JPII in 1982 and declared patron of Catholic artists in 1984. I studied his work when I was doing my art degree and was always very moved (and I wasn't even Catholic at the time).

Hey Nancy, thank you so much! I will check him out and "get to know him" too.
