Liturgical Year begins anew...
and sadly this is oh so true
Christmas lights/trees/commercials/carols and all the "trappings" of consumerism abound. It's really sickening that Thanksgiving barely gets noticed except with and by a few turkeys. Then it's all "shop till you drop" crapola. But this IS the New Year for us as Catholics. Let us try to grow closer to Our Lord, Our Lady and our Mother Church and to seek to know Him our Saviour better this year. Maybe instead of "trying" just GO on that retreat you put off last year. Read that book that's been beckoning you from your shelf. Blow off the dust and READ it. It's GOD who is calling you, and Only He is worthy of your love.
