He ain't heavy...

h/t Laura
Thank you, Laura, for posting this BLOG OF LOVE. How we are blessed by the Church, the Catholic Church and her understanding, wisdom and teachings on suffering. The pain, the loss, the struggle of sickness or injury bring an understanding of Our LORD more than anything else in this life. This IS a "Vale of Tears" for a reason, but the "Vale of Tears" is our SHORT exile, even if it feels like an 'eternity' while going through it. We have the Church, the community of family and friends devoted to the Way of Love who stand by us in solidarity and support offering us so much help, comfort, encouragement, a "shoulder" to cry on, and ear to listen, a hand to hold and even simply a mere 'presence' of just "being there."
May Mary our Mother, who suffered more than any of us could ever imagine, be with you every inch of this long, and painful time, but in that pain, that sorrow that floods your lives so often, may her intercession bring to your souls the same profound, true and pure JOY that kept her standing at the foot of the Cross watching her innocent, holy Son die.
The JOY of the LORD is our strength. How other's press on through such hardship without faith is beyond me. Thanks be to God and Holy Mother Church for giving us the deposit of faith, the eyes of faith to see that soon and very soon we will one day be with the ONE TRUE GOD forever in peace, joy, and eternal bliss if we press on to the end, never giving up, but only giving of our selves!
God bless you all!
C.S. Lewis: "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world." ~
