I sent this video to my brother a protestant pastor yesterday. Thanks for posting.
We watched the Passion last nite on DVD. In this movie 3 years ago, I made my decision to return to the Church. It was as if Christ said to me, "I did this for you, now you can follow me wherever I go." God bless
This movie was also a "Catholic tug" on my husband's heart. This is after all, the "Stations of the Cross" and a Catholic movie, made by a Catholic and Rich was very moved. I didn't know at the time how much it affected him until he told me a year later after our conversion as husband and wife to full communion with the CC.
Veronica's veil was one scene that struck him so profoundly, whereas I didn't even "see" that, not having any recollection of Stations of the Cross, which I'd never even done or walked before that I can recall. I don't even remember any Catholics around me then talking about the Stations, however, my ears were only listening to and for "Jesus Music" loud and rockin'...and NOT to the voice of Jesus' Church.
Not 100 people in the United States hate the Roman Catholic Church, but millions hate what they mistakenly think the Roman Catholic Church is. -- Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
I returned to the "First Pre-denominational Church of Christ," (as my husband brilliantly 'dubbed' it) aka: the Catholic Church in Dec. 2004, after my husband told me he wanted to go back to the "faith of his youth." The decision to swim across the Tiber has cost dearly, but has been worth it all! AND we are new grandparents of twin boys this summer, 2010!
