Thanks TJ...the meeting went just fine. We had one from the first meeting, Larry, and a new lovely young mom, pretty, enthusiastic, and had been attending the same Interdenominational conglomination we'd attended. She was there about 5 years with her husband and 3 children. She'd heard some anti-Catholic talk amidst the congregation from time to time, and in groups, and decided she'd do her own research and lo and behold...she ended up thinking they should be in the CC and it was pretty amazing, they all joined the CC recently and are loving being HOME. Praise God. That's a real condensed version, but she appreciated the fact that we're doing this, and having group for people like herself. We do all know there's such a need to connect with others returning or converting to this lovely BIG Church! Thanks for your prayers. They were answered and God is generous and so good!
Not 100 people in the United States hate the Roman Catholic Church, but millions hate what they mistakenly think the Roman Catholic Church is. -- Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
I returned to the "First Pre-denominational Church of Christ," (as my husband brilliantly 'dubbed' it) aka: the Catholic Church in Dec. 2004, after my husband told me he wanted to go back to the "faith of his youth." The decision to swim across the Tiber has cost dearly, but has been worth it all! AND we are new grandparents of twin boys this summer, 2010!
