St. Benedict...

Saint Benedict, pray for us! Keep us from the evil one and his schemes.

This is the statue of St. Benedict at the Saint Benedict Retreat Center in Schuyler, NE. This is

Benedict in the morning light of a January day, dusted with snow, praying for all of us across the Heartland and the world.

I have a St Benedict crucifix/medal I keep at my bedside table, the first thing I see in the AM and the last thing I see before I turn out the light. What a great benefit to us as Catholic Christians

BTW, I just found a bunh of your comments that had been "locked up"in my blogger, i released them!

Thanks TJ. Re: my comments, I just thought you were busy flying to LA and hammering the dulcimer, and your day/pay jobs. Not a problem at all.

As for Lincoln, yes, that is one delightful diocese! I wish we were in it sometimes, instead of Omaha, but Omaha has a lot going, and is getting better all the time. We have one parish in the Lincoln diocese that is our "sister parish" we like to visit about 4 times a year. A very small, rural parish. Such traditional and orthodox priests! It's like going to EWTN for Mass! No altar girls and no EME's either...only as their "supposed to be used" in EXTRAordianry circumstances.

Thanks for your comments, TJ. You keep me afloat on the "blog pool."
