Hi TJ. The interview was a lot of fun and I think it was productive! I think we'll see more returnees and converts coming to the HFS for our meeting(s) now, too. We had $11,000.00 in pledges come in during the 4 -5 o'clock hour! The most ever! I think our obvious, sincere "from the heart" sharing of our love for the Church might have tugged a few revert/convert hearts as well?? Needless to say, our Gen Manager, Jim, was ecstatic as were the rest of us! We attained and exceeded our goal of $150,000.00! I don't know if they have it archived or not...or if there's a c.d. even available. There should be, and you'd think I'd have easier access being a volunteer, but sometimes that's not been the case - i.e. The shoemaker's kids never have shoes?

Our friend, Jan, who was our first "RECONnector" joined us, too, and she was fantastic. With our combined enthusiasm, I think we did a good job of offering some hope and a safe place for some of the 1000 catechumans entering the Church in the Archdiocese of Omaha! Omaha is doing something right, I'd say!

As we called it yesterday, RECON is "life after RCIA" for those who are sometimes left floundering on the banks, so to speak. We assured everyone that we're not in competition with other programs such as "Catholics Returning Home," but we're simply a group for friendships to form and build a strong community of support, and take our zeal and light some fires in our respective parishes. I see it happening, in a slow, steady, orderly way. God's way and time, not ours.

Pray for this "vision" I have, too, if you will. I "see a RECON radio program" at KVSS forming for local converts to share their stories much like a radio version of The Journey Home. I think it would be a GREAT thing and serve the Church in ways yet unimaginable. I can see a hour program, with 1/2 hour testimony, then a 1/2 hour call in, just like the t.v. program.

I do dream big! I ask Big, and I'm expecting BIG things from our Loving Abba Father! He's lavished such gifts on us so abundantly already, I'm just like a little girl waiting at the window for Daddy to come home and bring me something from a long trip. That's how I feel. But as Dylan would say: "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now." ; )

Thanks for inquiring and dropping by, TJ. Bless you.
